Painting with Light
Describe one of your photos from painting with light.
The photo i chose was the first photo. The shutter speed was at 10 seconds. The source of light were red christmas lights. I took the picture of a person swinging the christmas lights in a circle. The viewer would think the photo is very interesting because of all the different lines.

Aperture
The fstop for the second photo in the first row was 5.6. The ISO was 1600 and the white balance was set on daylight.
The fstop for the first photo in the first row was 32. The ISO was 1600 and the white balance was set on daylight. You would want to use shallow depth of field when you want to focus on one object and that one object is in focus and everything is. A large depth would be better when you want to focus on only one object without anything else distracting your eyes.

FAVORITE PLACE OR THING
The object i decided to shoot was a piano. The personal significance that a piano has is that when I play im happy and the only thing that matters is what key im going to hit next and nothing else. The piano is my favorite thing because it makes me happy and my dad and uncle have been playing since they were little also, so i enjoy the times when we all play together. I took pictures of the piano straight on, from the top, from the bottom, far, and close. I had the ISO at 1600 and a shutter speed setting to prevent blur. I avoided distracting backgrounds by getting closer to the piano.
Portraits
My favorite photo is the first photo in this gallery. The picture is very strong compositionally and generally. The light in the picture was taken from behind, so you only see the side of her. The person i look pictures of was Hannah Hultman. The magazine is a floral magazine. Showing different types of flowers and the flowers in different places. The picture is very strong because of the lighting, the point of view, the contrast between positive and negative light, and the range of values. There are a variety of light and dark areas in the photo which makes it very strong.
